I love the Dollar Tree.

I frequent there at least once a week. It has great deals on name-brand items and everyday things. It also has amazing things for throwing parties, entertaining, and more.

If you aren’t sure where to get something, check the Dollar Tree. They very likely have exactly what you need for a super affordable one dollar. I want to let you in on the things that I find best to buy at the Dollar Store to stretch your budget!

No Store Near You? You Can Shop Online!

No nearby Dollar Tree? You can shop online!

The only downside to shopping online with them is that they tend to sell things in bulk. Some things I don’t mind to buy in bulk (like party supplies, toilet paper, or even kitchen supplies).

Also, they have FREE shipping to your local store so you can pick it up at your convenience! It’s a great way to save on shipping costs!

Other Great Things to Use to Save at the Dollar Tree

Did you know Ibotta works with the Dollar Tree?

YES!  You can use the Ibotta app to get cash back on the things you buy at the Dollar Tree!!

You will also want to sign up for their Value Savers Club! As a member of Dollar Tree’s Loyalty program, you’ll get access to:

  • exclusive ideas and inspiration
  • member-only contests
  • first to know offers
  • sneak peeks
  • affordable recipes
  • … and much more!

Best Things to Stock Up On at the Dollar Tree

Party Supplies

This is my favorite thing to buy at the Dollar Tree! I can stretch my money and have a wonderful party or gathering that looks amazing!

I planned two Blue and Gold Banquets for my son’s Cub Scouts, and they both came out amazing. I buy all the plastic tablecloths and disposable plates/napkins/dinnerware for those because it’s so affordable and I usually need a large amount (last year was around 200 guests!).

My favorite decor was the sweet little plastic toy horses I got from the Dollar Tree and spray painted gold and glued to a mason jar for our Derby-themed table decor.

Finished Blue and Gold Banquet decorated room

This is the room I decorated for our last Blue and Gold Banquet and the majority of my items came from the Dollar Tree!

Gift Wrap and Bags

You can not beat $1 gift bags! Trust me – the Dollar Tree bags are just as good as any you get anywhere else! And they have super cute designs. I ALWAYS get my gift bags here. Every Christmas, I stock up!

Scotch Tape

Also a lifesaver at Christmas and birthdays! They have brand name Scotch tape for less money! Why wouldn’t you buy it there?

Greeting Cards

The same goes for any greeting card – they are LESS than $1 usually. I love buying cards here!

Cleaning Supplies

You can often get name brand cleaning supplies for less at the Dollar Tree. It’s a great way to stock up on any of these necessary items without breaking the bank.

Kitchen Supplies

There are multitudes of kitchen supplies you can get here. From kitchen utensils to aluminum foil, they have everything!

You can even get really NICE dishware! The Christmas dishware was absolutely beautiful last Christmas. I get ALL my plate chargers here too. It’s a cheap way to make your dinner table look fancy and beautiful!

Holiday Decor

They have holiday decor for EVERY HOLIDAY! It is awesome! It makes it easy to decorate from holiday to holiday in an affordable way!

At Christmas, they practically have a WALL full of ornaments for $1! This is a great way to decorate your tree for less.

Dollar Tree Table Setting

I put together this gorgeous table setting last Christmas from Dollar Tree items. EVERYTHING pictured here is from the Dollar Tree – I used items from the artificial flowers, dinnerware, ornaments, and even the placemat is from there!

Artificial Flowers

Their artificial flowers change out through the seasons, and they look amazing. The table setting above uses the beautiful berry springs and a poinsettia I got from that section.

Books for Toddlers

Many of my son’s favorite books as a toddler were from Dollar Tree. He had a trio of Sesame Street board books that were so loved!!

Candy

I love stocking up on movie size candy for $1! I stock up on this for our at-home movie nights, or even to put into stockings or Easter baskets. This is the best deal for these boxes of candy – you certainly can’t buy them at the movies for this price!

What’s your favorite thing to buy at the Dollar Tree to save money?
