I love mixology! I love Kentucky.

Why not combine the two?

How about a little Kentucky drink that would be a delicious nod to

spring?

With none other than bourbon, of course.

A Kentucky Mule is surprisingly simple to make and requires few ingredients.

A Bit About the Moscow Muled Copper Mugs

Moscow Mule copper mugs are always something I’ve admired. They are absolutely beautiful. I was gifted a set from Moscow Muled and was delighted with them.

Their cups are 100% high-grade, food-safe copper, but to protect your health, they line them with high-grade stainless steel. The cups are handcrafted and hammered by hand.

Not only are these Moscow mule mugs exceptionally crafted and gorgeous, but this company gives back, which is another reason to love them! They donate 15% of their profits to several non-profit organizations that work to stop impaired driving. I think that is amazing.

What Ingredients/Tools You Need to Make a Kentucky Mule

  • copper Moscow mule mug (you can also use a highball glass, but I recommend these mugs to make it special!)
  • your choice of 2 ounces of Kentucky bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce of fresh-squeezed lime juice, and a slice of lime to garnish
  • 1-2 springs of mint
  • ginger beer
  • ice (I use these types of ice trays), I prefer the spherical ice because I think it’s prettier. (You know, very solid reasoning.)
  • a double jigger to measure with (If you don’t have a jigger, it’s fine – use a shot glass with measurements on it – you just need to measure in ounces.)
