This easy three-ingredient spicy candied bacon recipe is sure to please your whole family. This sweet and spicy bacon can be served for breakfast, as an appetizer, as a dessert, or as a snack! It’s so versatile and good at any time of day!

Disclaimer: I was gifted this syrup to do an Instagram post. While I was not paid to do a sponsored post, I enjoyed the syrup and the bacon I made with it, so I did this post to share my delicious outcome!

This candied bacon reminds me of the Millionaire Bacon we like to order at a restaurant called First Watch. First Watch is a restaurant chain that serves breakfast – and usually only open through breakfast and lunch hours. It’s delicious – and if you ever see one, stop and try it!

Anyway, back to this Millionaire Bacon as they call it… I love candied bacon, and when it’s served with a bit of a kick – it’s even better! After it’s done, you can drizzle it with even a little more of your syrup. And I use a spicy syrup in this recipe!

Supplies Needed to Make This Bacon

  • sheet pan
  • roasting rack
  • foil or parchment paper
  • silicone brush

Spicy Maple Bacon Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of spicy maple syrup (I used Trees Knees Maple Syrup from Walmart)
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • bacon

What if you can’t get the spicy syrup? That’s ok! You can easily use a pinch of cayenne pepper for the spice! (I’d start with a 1/4 teaspoon.)

Preheat your oven to 325 F.

Next, place your roasting rack on your baking sheet that is lined with foil or parchment paper.

Mix your ingredients together (syrup, water, and brown sugar).

Glide your bacon through the mixture and place each slice on the roasting rack.

Paint each piece of bacon again with the syrup and sugar mixture with the silicone brush.

Place in the oven for 25 minutes. Rotate your pan every 5 minutes after the first 15 minutes.  (Bake until your desire crispiness.)

Serve (you can drizzle a little bit more of the spicy syrup over it) and enjoy it!

What Can I Serve Spicy Candied Bacon With?

I think this bacon works well as an appetizer.

However, if you want to serve it with your meal, I think it works well with savory sides since it has some sweetness. Pair it with eggs of any kind (I’d do scrambled eggs). Serve with biscuits and gravy! You really can’t go wrong serving this with anything! Your bacon lovers will be happy no matter what.

I hope you love this spicy candied bacon recipe and find it as easy and yummy as we did! What would you serve this with? What time of day would you want to eat this spicy maple bacon?
