Make Extra Money with Online Surveys

Online surveys.

Yes, they are totally legit.

Yes, I use them.

You won’t get rich from them, but they can certainly allow you to have extra money whether it’s to help pay off debt quickly or to have extra money for the holidays.

In fact, last night I redeemed some Swagbucks for a $10 Starbucks card.  (Why not use it for my addictions?!)  I was telling my friend that I traded them in for a GC, and she wanted to know what this thing was!

So, I thought not only would I share Swagbucks with you — I’ve already done that in another post.  Go here to read up on Swagbucks!  But rather than just share the joy of Swagbucks, I thought I would let you in on some other online survey companies as well!

How Online Survey Companies Work

Not only can you earn gift cards, but you can earn real cash paid out via Paypal with most all of these.

Anybody can do these surveys, too.  Whether you work or stay at home, as long as you have access to a computer, then you can do these!!  I do less of them these days because I do work full time, run the blog, and try to parent without completely failing.  However, I still do several of my favorites often.

Always be honest when you are filling out the surveys.  Sometimes, they will ask you several questions to see if you are a good match for the survey.  Be very honest because they want a certain demographic for each survey.  If you don’t become a match for that survey, often they will reward you a small amount for just trying! They will also send you more survey requests that you may be more suited for.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is probably my favorite because you can do so many different things to earn gift cards and money.  However, you can really rack up a lot of the Swagbucks with surveys.  I took one last night that rewarded me 25 Swagbucks, and that put me to the amount needed to purchase my Starbucks GC.  They have been around a LONG time, and they are easy to use, and always fulfill your rewards.  They are also one that will give you a Swagbucks just for seeing if you qualify for the survey in question.  I can appreciate a company who values my time!

You can sign up for Swagbucks here!

E-poll

I always think the E-poll surveys are fun.  I enjoy giving my opinion on TV shows and movies, and those come up often.  They reward points, which can later be redeemed for Paypal cash or gift cards.

You can sign up for E-poll here!

Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research is widely considered one of the most respected survey companies around.  It is run by the Neilsen company, an NYC market research company. They even will send out products for you to review occasionally! Pinecone will pay out via Paypal or check.  Pinecone also pays very well, starting out at $3 a survey, and you can get pay increases if you stay with them for a long time.

You can sign up for Pinecone Research here!

Vindale Research

I currently use Vindale research, and I have a lot of survey offers through them! They pay via check or Paypal, and the surveys can range from between $0.25-$50. You earn a $2 sign up bonus immediately as well.

You can join Vindale Research here!

Harris Poll Online

Harris Poll is another very respected company.  You earn points for each survey you complete. They are also a survey company that will reward you points for trying to qualify for a survey, as well.  You then redeem those points for rewards.

You can sign up with Harris Poll Online here!

(Edit: Sept 2018 — Since writing this article, I have also discovered Prize Rebel which has very good reviews as well!!)

These are the survey companies I am familiar with and have used.  They are legitimate, and can even be fun.  Best of all, it’s a great way to make extra side money/cash to help pay off debt, enjoy a splurge (like Starbucks), or save for the holidays.

Is there a survey company you would recommend to me?  I’d love to check it out, and I’m always looking for a new way to earn extra money!
